River Nidd – GSPK, Knaresborough

This is a new, short stretch of 6 pegs behind the GSPK factory at Manse Lane, Knaresborough. Access is through the main factory entrance, through buildings and parking is visitors car park. The stretch contains grayling, trout, chub, dace, roach, perch, pike, gudgeon, eels and occasional large barbel.

Travel out of Knaresborough on the A59 towards York and after passing the Lidl store on the left take the 1st turning on right onto Manse Lane. Take the 1st turning on the left into the industrial estate where GSPK is situated. The electric gate is normally open during working hours, Monday to Friday, but you will need to use the code for times when the gate is shut.

All six pegs have shuttered steps down to the river with five of the pegs having a wooden platform to fish from. This stretch of club water is worth trying for those of us who enjoy local river fishing but need good access to a comfortable peg.
